FTTH / FTTP / FTTC

Fiber-to-The-Home (FTTH), Fiber-to-The-Premises (FTTP) and Fiber-to-The-Curb (FTTC) represent the broadband network architecture that uses fibre optic to replace all or part of the usual metal local loop used for last mile. Those broadband networks getting popular in Malaysia nowadays.

FTTH and FTTP are which the final connection into the subscriber's home or place of business is Optical Fibre. The fiber optic communications path is terminated on the premises for the purpose of carrying communications to a single subscriber.

Some communities currently enjoy (FTTC) service, which refers to the installation and use of optical fiber cable to the curbs near homes or businesses, with a "copper" medium carrying the signals between the curb and the end users.
